Q. What is counselling

Counselling also known as talking therapy provides a regular time and space for you talk about your feelings and explore difficulties you maybe experiencing in your life with a qualified Counsellor. Counselling can help you work through specific problems past and present, improve your relationships, understand yourself better and develop a positive outlook on life.

Q. How long is a Counselling session and how many sessions will I need

I offer weekly counselling session which last for 50 minutes. The number of sessions you will need will depend on the type of issues you bring. However I usually offer 6 sessions to start off with, and if I feel you need more then we can agree on additional set sessions.

Q. Do you offer telephone counselling

Yes I do, you can have your counselling appointment at a pre-arranged time over the telephone. Payment for this service are paid for in advance of the appointment. It is more beneficial, if you can attend sessions in person.

Q. Are you qualified and registered with a professional body

Yes, I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and I am registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). This is a professional body which regulates and set certain standards and codes of ethics for counsellors and psychotherapists to adhere to.

Q. Do you offer concessions for people on low income

Yes I do offer low cost counselling to students and people on low income. Please note that this is subject to providing satisfactory proof.
